SUMMARY:Rachel's Run XC Race
DESCRIPTION:This run was always a run done by Rachel on her high school cross country course at the Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsboro\, MA. Cans of food and other non-perishable food items were also brought to the run to be distributed to a local food pantry. All funds raised will be used to fund women in science and/or marine biology research as Rachel was a fourth year PhD student at Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla CA until her tragic death from a hit and run drunk driver on the night of March 28\, 2014 in the city of Del Mar\, CA.

DESCRIPTION:The Wayland XC Festival\, now in its 14th year\, is held at the Wayland High School in Wayland\,  Massachusetts.​ \nThis is an exciting cross-country race through fields and wooded trails benefiting the Wayland High School Cross Country teams.  With a series of Youth and Open races\, this event provides one of the few open cross-country running opportunities for kids and adults in Massachusetts. Whether you are new to cross-country or a veteran of the trails\, this is a race for you! \nThis is not only a great race to run; it’s also a great race to watch!   Spectators can see the competitors during many parts of the races.Wayland High School\, 264 Old Connecticut Path\, Wayland\, MAWayland High School\, 264 Old Connecticut Path\, Wayland\, MA \nThe Wayland XC Festival has been chosen again to be part of the USATF-NE Grand Prix.
