Volunteer Opportunities

Fitness University - Every Tuesday @ 6 pm through July 28
Fitness University is a free running fitness program for children ages 3 to 14. Fitness University is dedicated to promoting the importance of fitness, fun and good health. Clinics run through June and into July, and are held in Nashua & surrounding towns. The fun culminates on Finals Day with games, prizes, and plenty of laughter for all. People who are interested in volunteering for these clinics should contact Fitness U. Director Leeann Ward

Mount Washington Road Race - Saturday - Jun 20 - Pinkham Notch, NH
This classic one-hill race is a rare opportunity for volunteers to give back to the club and enjoy a great post-race team barbeque in the process. Race organizers donate 20 lottery by-passes to our club as a direct result of the work our volunteers do at this event year after year. People who are interested in volunteering for this race should contact Skip Cleaver

Chase Corporate Challenge 5k - Thursday - Jun 25 - Boston, MA
This week-day evening race is not only a fun event to volunteer for, it's also a profitable one. Race organizers actually pay the club cash for each volunteer we provide. So, make sure you come join us for this one. And, bring a friend too! People who are interested in volunteering for this event should contact Rich Stockdale

Cigna/Elliot Corporate 5k - Thursday - Aug 13 - Manchester, NH
This is another profitable, week-day race as the club receives cash for each volunteer we provide. GCS members typically man the water stop at this race (the state's largest) and generally have as much fun as the runners, if not more! People who are interested in volunteering for this event should contact Dave Delay

Applefest Half Marathon - Saturday - Sep 26 - Hollis, NH
This award winning race is our club's biggest event of the year. And, therefore requires the biggest number of GCS volunteers. In addition to feeling like you've done something good for the club, volunteering for this race also comes with a few more perks. Volunteers typically receive commemorative Applefest hats and/or pins. Plus, the post-race apple crisp is to die for! People who are interested in volunteering for this event should contact Michelle Poublon.
