The 2013 Series
Dates: 1/6, 1/20, 2/3, 2/17 & 3/3 (all 9:00am) Open to the general public.
Where: Conway Arena - West Hollis Street/Riverside Street, Nashua, NH
Directions:
Exit 5, Route 111 off Route 3/Everett Turnpike. Go west toward Pepperell for ½ mile, turn right on Riverside Street. Turn first left into parking area (use stadium lot only, not arena lot.)
Entry Fee:
$5 per race for age 19 and over, $3 per race for age 18 and under. Please make checks payable to Gate City Striders. (See entry form below)
Pre-Registration: for the series (all 5 races), $20.00 for age 19 and $12 for age 18 and under.
Amenities:
Flat, open, paved course; wonderful camaraderie; accurate timing by GCS; mile markers; prizes for Series winners in each 10-year age group at series end. Hot beverages and light refreshments after the race for runners and volunteers!
Course:
3.1 Mile measured, flat, double loop course. Relatively traffic free, usually plowed and clear. (See course map below)
Please! No Strollers and no Dogs allowed in the race.
Awards:
Raffle prizes will be given out weekly to runners and age group awards will be given at the end of the Series to the top male & female point scorers in the following age groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Race Entry Form & Course Map:
A Classic New England Winter 5k Race Series is about to begin. These fun, no-frills events for the entire family start on Sun., Jan 6 and run for 5 alternating weeks until March 3.
The dates and locations for the 8 running clinics are set. Check out where/when these great events are happening and how to sign your child up on-line.
6 months worth of coached outdoor track workouts begin on April 17th and are run every Wednesday night (from April to October) at the Nashua South High School track.
This month's GCS club meeting was at Martha's Exchange on Monday, May 13th and we held our 5th annual Henri Renaud Award presentations.
A fun, no-frills 12-Week series run from Stellos Stadium along the scenic trails of Mine Falls Park in Nashua. 5k & 5m races are held at 6:30 pm on Monday nights in the summer.
34 Striders ran this year's Boston Marathon. Congratulations to ALL of you on your journey from Hopkinton to Boston. More importantly, we're glad you all made it back home!
