The Henri Renaud Memorial New Hampshire Marathon Awards was presented to Heidi Westover & Scott Rowe who were the the first female and first male New Hampshire finishers in the B.A.A. Boston Marathon.  This Award was presented in honor of Henri Renaud, a Nashua native and the only New Hampshire resident ever to win the Boston Marathon.  This year was the 101th anniversary of his victory. In addition, this year the club  resumed the presentation of a Henri Renaud Award for the first male and female Gate City Striders to finish the Boston Marathon, an award last presented in 1996. This years awards went to Cathy Merra & Todd Callaghan

Andy Schachat of the Foster's Daily Democrat wrote a special article about Henri Renaud and the awards which bear his name. Andy's article on last years award winners can be found here. Also, all members attending the meeting were invited to participate in a Boston Marathon Trivia Contest, hosted by Andy Schachat himself. Participants tested their knowledge about the history of the Boston Marathon and won fabulous prizes in the process!

Finally, the annual Gate City Scholarship Awards were presented to two deserving club members planning on attending college this fall. Those lucky recipients were Kaitlin Dresser & Casey Wade. Congrats to everyone receiving an award! They were certainly well earned!
