My Racing
Best Race: Boston Marathon (2nd Best: Peach Tree 10K)
Worst Race: 1994 Hyannis Marathon (cancelled at last minutes)
Marathons & Favorite: 15 Boston Marathon, and 37 marathons overall. Favorite marathons are Boston and Marine Corps
Triathlons: Only one (Lake Potanipo). Will not try again!
Favorite Race: Applefest Half Marathon
Favorite Distance: Marathon
Best Runner Of All Time: My hero Shigeki Tanaka (First Japanese winner of Boston Marathon (1951). He brought back hope to the people of Japan and particularly to the city of Hiroshima where he trained. I was 13 then, and that is the first time I learned about Boston Marathon. Never even imagined that I will be IN IT one day.
Best Running Memory: Ran sub 3:30 in 1994 Bay State Marathon.
Worst Running Memory: Finished 1995 Boston Marathon with 5-quarter size blister. Wore a pair of racing flat to improve my Boston PR (3:33:08) and got WR.)
Racing PR’s: 1994 Bay State Marathon (3:29:38). Do not keep record for other distances.

Hobbies: Fly Fishing (relaxation and protein source), Skiing (challenge), Kayaking (upper body x-training), Hiking & Snow-Shoeing (socializing), Painting (since my childhood), Sewing (Runner’s World Magazine recognized “Shu’s Number Jacket”), Gardening (started before Obamas), Backyard Sugar Making (family consumption only)
