My Running
Why I Run: Health, fitness and social activities
Years Running: Since age 1. Running career began when Nashua High School ran out of uniforms for football tryouts my freshman year in 1971. Cross Country tryouts were the next day and my running career began. I have been getting slower ever since.
GCS Member Since 1983 when my neighbor, Phil Quinn, invited me to the weekly run at Nashua High School.
Typical Miles Per Week: I typically work my way up to twenty miles per week, get injured and start over at 3 miles per week once I have recovered from the injury.
Most Miles Per Week Ever: 60
Favorite Place To Run: Mine Falls Park
Running Shoe: Asics Kayano
Worst Injury: Torn meniscus. First the right knee, then the left knee as soon as the right was healed from surgery.
Favorite GCS Event: Weekly Wednesday runs and church services afterwards.
What I Like Most About GCS: All of the friends I have made and fun times we have.
Running Goals: Complete the Western NH Trail Series (www.wnhtrs.com) and defend my title in the Bradford 4th of July 5k as first 50 and over Bradford resident. I had to move to a really small town to win any kind of race category.
